M.S. v/s MBA

This is not a post…

Its a discussion abt an important decession in my life.
So here i am sitting on my chair totally confused on what am supposed to do next?
I have to pay my M.S. sem III fees in 2 days time or else i’ll lose my seat. But if i pay the fees, i’ll have to stay with my company for 3 more yrs (Yes, am doing a part-time M.S. course).

A good friend of mine says that these 3 yrs will fly away soon and i totally agree with him. But along with these 3 yrs, my dreams of having a decent sal by the time i get married will also fly away. Am not greedy, but i need a Salary Package tht is decent enough so tht i can support my family & support my parents.(in the future).

If i continue with my M.S. my future will get screwed royally. I have an option of doing a part-time MBA as proposed by another close friend. But the question tht arises here is “Does it have any value in the market?”. Also another problem is tht its a 3 yr course. Am bored/afraid of studying, but 3 yrs is a long time & you can easily lose motivation. But i want to do a Master’s Degree, having just a Bachelors degree wont suffice.

My mind is totally confused. :(.
Now am planning to do a Full-Time MBA…. no a Part-time MBA…… no a Full-time Msc…….
Ohh!!! My GOD…….
Please Help Me……………..

People i need your expert comments .

I am no expert on nothing, so no advice, no expert comment. Just a suggestion go for a full-time MBA. That would be the best thing, if possible try for 1-year one.

    hey chum
we’re sailing pretty much in the same boat.
it’s just the urgency tht has a different magnitude in ur case.
i’ve seen examples in the past with good salaries for being in the company for a long time.
as for studies u won’t worry MS will fly by.u have a yr to go, another two n u’ll b just fine, look for certifications n stuff……no gyaan but just a piece of advise, don leave things mid-way…
we’ve come so far tht there’s no turning back.and believe me its worth taking the risk n break frm a job, unless u’re fully sure u can crack to a gud MBA school

Hey dude.. its a difficult situtation,
i agree to asif that MBA is worth only when u do it full time, even an average institute would do.
i just saw an adv(3rs Sept 06) of SP Jain inst, it has course in MIT (Mast in IT) coupled with some Mgmt PG diploma. Its a good course and comparatively easier to crack.

Also there’s one yr PG diploma in Mgmt (different from conventional 2 yr PGDBA) which requires 3 yrs exp (not executive one) u can even try for that. also Symbi has a few 1 yr courses.

I m giving u options as u’ve already opted out of MS.
