You’re Beautiful – James Blunt

January 27, 2007 11 comments

Hi all,

I was sitting @ home & reading newspaper, when my brother played this song on my computer. I put the paper down & started listening to the song. The lyrics hit me like a bullet. I could actually relate to it… ๐Ÿ™‚ or ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I’m sure.
She smiled at me on the subway (in the basement).
She was with another man.
But I won’t lose no sleep on that,
‘Cause I’ve got a plan.

You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful.
You’re beautiful, it’s true.
I saw you face in a crowded place (MBP canteen),
And I don’t know what to do,
‘Cause I’ll never be with you.

Yeah, she caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
Fucking high,
And I don’t think that I’ll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful.
You’re beautiful, it’s true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don’t know what to do,
‘Cause I’ll never be with you.
You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful.
You’re beautiful, it’s true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it’s time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.

Cannavaro wins European Footballer of the Year Award (Ballon d’Or)

November 28, 2006 5 comments

Hi all,
Finally Ronaldinho has been stripped off his title, which he held for 2 yrs consecutively. The guy who has done that truly deserves it.

Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro won recognition for his stunning World Cup performance as Italy skipper by winning the prestigious European Footballer of the Year Award (Ballon d’Or) on Monday. The 33-year-old Neapolitan succeeds Barcelona star Ronaldinho, winner of last year’s award, but who placed fourth this time largely as a result of his World Cup performance as Brazil crashed in the quarter-finals to France.

Cannavaro with 173 points took the honour ahead of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon (124) of Italy and Arsenal’s French striker Thierry Henry (121).

France’s Zinedine Zidane, who retired after reaching the World Cup finals, placed fifth with 71 points.

What does RSVP stand for?

Let’s Clear Up the Confusion

I hope that this week’s tip will benefit hosts and guests alike, because there seems to be a lot of confusion about the meaning of the above term.

Lack of RSVP’s – A Growing Problem

I hear more and more often, and have found in my personal experience, that hosts often do not receive firm indications whether guests plan to attend their parties, even if R.S.V.P. is clearly printed on the invitation. This could mean either one of two things. First it could mean that rudeness is a growing trend in our society. Or, as I would prefer to believe, people no longer understand what the term means. Assuming the best, and that the decline in R.S.V.P.’s can be attributed to ignorance and not rudeness, I will clarify this for the record.

What RSVP Means

The term R.S.V.P. comes from the French expression “rรฉpondez s’il vous plaรฎt”, meaning “please respond”. If R.S.V.P. is written on an invitation it means the invited guest must tell the host whether or not they plan to attend the party. It does not mean to respond only if you’re coming, and it does not mean respond only if you’re not coming (the expression “regrets only” is reserved for that instance). It means the host needs a definite head count for the planned event, and needs it by the date specified on the invitation.

So Many Game Consoles: Which to Buy?

November 17, 2006 4 comments

In a perfect world, determining which new game console to purchase would be out of your hands. Instead the matter would be handled Thunderdome style: Two beefy consoles enter the arena, they battle, and one console is left standing. But since such combat would inevitably lead to the enslavement of mankind by a superrace of cyborg overlords, it’s probably best to figure it out for yourself. Here is some information on the major contenders to help you decide.

Sony PlayStation 3

Nintendo Wii

Microsoft Xbox 360

HaPpY ChIlDrEn’S DaY…

Hi ppl,

Wish you all a very HAPPY CHILDREN’s DAY. Now i dont want comments like, “We are not children anymore”. To which my answer would be “Apne Mata-Pita ke liye tum hameesa bacche hi rahoge” (thanks to our hindi films).

I think we should have a Public Holiday for Children’s Day, coz according to me there’s a child within each one of us. So this day should be reserved for us to have fun & once again be a child.

In some of us its quite active, it can be seen in their behaviour, i mean their Bachkundi harkat ๐Ÿ˜€ says it all.
In some of us its semi-active, it can seen when you are dining with your friends & the steward serves dessert & ur eyes light up (tht’s when the child in you wakes up & is ready to attack the dessert ๐Ÿ™‚ )
In some of us its dead, no its not dead, but u need the right kind of group/ppl to revive it. I really feel sad for this gerne of ppl, but am sure there might not be many in this group

Once again Wish you all a very HAPPY CHILDREN’s DAY…
